There is sometimes nothing more reviving than a cup of tea, the stimulant such as caffeine that tea contains can accelerate the heart rate, increase alertness, and help respiration by dilating the airways of the lungs. Nilgiri tea is generally described as being a dark intensely aromatic, fragrant and flavorful tea grown in the southern portion of the Western Ghats mountains of Southern India. More than 50% of Nilgiri tea is exported, and usually finds its way into blends used for tea bags. Considered as blender's dream, Nilgiri teas give the liquor body and strength as well.
Nilgiris teas produce bright and brisk tea liquors and they do not cloud. The cost of a Nilgiris of superior quality can be high but the gain in quality of product makes this worthwhile. The flavor of the tea is derived from the high elevation and prevails throughout the year in the varying degrees.
